Speaking

Lee Drake has extensive speaking experience. He's spoken on topics such as computer security, programming best practices, building content-managed websites, building online communities, virus and spyware prevention, social media, Office365, cloud collaboration, hybrid cloud deployment, disaster recovery, business continuity and a variety of other computer-related topics.

Lee has built a world-wide following of users who rely on him to get up-to-date computer, security, social media, and information technology news.

In addition, Lee has participated in a number of discussion panels on wide-ranging business-related topics, including health insurance for small businesses, legislative issues for NYS businesses, workmen's comp, 240/241 reform, and Medicaid/Medicare reform. He participated in a panel sponsored by then Senator Hillary Clinton on the challenges of providing health care to small businesses.

As a former member of the executive board for the Rochester Small Business Council Lee has worked hard to help NYS create an environment that is more friendly towards small businesses. As a current member of the Eyes on the Future board, Lee has recruited sponsors, and manages the event website and registration for this over 1000 attendee per year event.

As a former member of the economic development committee for the Rochester Business Alliance he's participated in assisting Rochester to grow into a competitive upstate NY city. As a member of the board for the Genesee Valley Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management and the Monroe County Job Services Employment Committee Lee has added extensive experience in the everyday issues of HR Management in the small business.

As a member of the Rochester Professional Consultants Network Lee has spoken on panels ranging from computer solutions for small businesses, building an online presence for your consulting organization, web advertising, and search engine optimization, to the challenges of building a consulting organization.

As 50% owner of Aztek Computer Solutions, Inc., Lee helped build a Rochester Top 100 company. As President and CEO of OS-Cubed, Inc., Lee is well on the way to creating his next Top 100 company.

Lee is on the board of the Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Rochester, a not-for-profit organization that assists people with recovering their financial well being.

Lee is a mentor for the Harris Corporation sponsored 11511 Penfield FIRST Robotics team511 Penfield FIRST Robotics team, working as the marketing mentor for the team, as well as consulting with teams throughout the area to promote FIRST robotics.

In addition, Lee has participated extensively in the programs sponsored by The Executive Committee (TEC) now known as Vistage. Lee is a graduate of Cornell University ALS School, a programmer, a Habitat for Humanity supporter, and a fan of computer and board gaming and science fiction and fantasy books.

Writing

As a columnist for the "Geekspeak" column in Business Strategies magazine Lee created a series of easy-to-read, easy-to-understand articles on computer management, targeted at CEOs and small business owners, all of which are listed below. In addition Lee has authored a number of websites and their content.

Lee has contributed articles for the published books DataEase Tips and Tricks, volumes 2 and 3, and for the DataEase newsletter. His article "A Business of Your Own" was the feature article in Business Strategies magazine.

Lee was also author of the Web/Trends sub-blog of the Business Strategies Blog (www.bizstratblog.com). Here he addressed more topical issues on computer security, trends in web development, and building better websites and infrastructure for your business.

Lee's extensive writing experience allows him to create custom articles on a variety of computer and business topics. Lee has been quoted numerous times in the Rochester Business Journal and in the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle. A project done for Xerox was featured as a "Basic Hero" in Visual Basic magazine, a national publication.
